50^th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, the de facto start of the European Union, the Tower was appropriately illuminated on Friday 23, Saturday 24 and the evening of Sunday 25 March.

In Brussels, the European capital, a number of concerts took place and a European Symposium was held at the Royal Palace.

Dexia played a prominent role with a special light show symbolising the European Union. The famous stars of Europe shared space on the façade with the message ‘50 Years together’.
