The 6th edition of “Nuit Blanche” took place on the 29th of September.
On this date, several big cities throughout the world opened major buildings to the public and illuminated them.
spectr|a|um (collaboration LAb[au], Dexia, Arto, Nuit Blanche and Brussels International) offered a night with audiovisual shows and presentations of works of art on the Dexia Tower.
Two concerts took place :
at 9 pm, the famous musician Frank Bretschneider.
Frank Bretschneider works as a musician, composer and video artist in Berlin. His work is known for precise sound placement, complex, interwoven rhythm structures and its minimal, flowing approach.
at 10.45 pm, Balanescu Quartet.
Since its formation in 1987, the Balanescu Quartet has acquired a reputation as one of the leading contemporary music groups in the world today. Its guiding force has been the Rumanian virtuoso violinist, and composer Alexander Balanescu, who has lead the quartet across musical frontiers into new unchartered territory.
The concerts of these top artists were projected on the tower. A special light show was presented between the concerts.
